Nippon Steel put into operation HDG Plant in Thailand

Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation created Nippon Steel & Sumikin Galvanizing (NSGT) in Thailand for the production and sale of a galvanized steel sheet. Since then, in the eastern industrial zone of the province of district in Thailand, the construction of a new plant has been carried out.

In October, a hot zincing line was put into operation, and now, as previously planned, the NSGT plant has begun its commercial operation. With the help of this line adjacent to the SIAM United Steel (1995) CO, LTD, a consolidated subsidiary of a cold -rolled sheet, integrated production from cold rolling to quality control has been created.

The Thai market, as expected, is waiting for further growth in the future, and it is an important direction for NSSMC. Through NSGT, it is possible to respond more accurately to customer needs for high -quality automobile steel sheets for automakers in Thailand and other countries of this region.

The NSGT plant is equipped with modern equipment, as well as the latest NSSMC facilities in Japan and is able to produce full -fledged, high -quality galvanized steel, including for the automotive industry.
