Innovative developments for railway tracks

It is no secret that the safety of the movement of railway transport directly depends on the quality of the rails and their connections. The presence of multi -level joints of the railway canvas leads to malfunctions in the movement of the composition, and sometimes to its damage.

The Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant of the Metinvest group successfully copes with this problem. For welding rails at the enterprise, an aluminothermal welding method is used. This welding technology allows you to get a perfectly smooth, dense joint. This will ensure an increase in the service life and speed of the railway train, as well as increase the safety of transportation.

The new welding technology has already been tested on several railway sections. In addition to the high quality of the connection, there is economicality in labor and time, mobility and versatility of this method.

The Novokuznetsk Metallurgical Plant, which produces a hundred -meter rails, also plans seamless welding to supply long lashes at once. And in Ukraine, at the moment, the Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant is the only enterprise using advanced technology in this area.

In addition, the Enakievsky plant is going to purchase its own equipment, raw materials, welding masks and other means of protection to create all the necessary conditions for the modernization of the railway track.
