NLMK received a certificate of conformity of energy management of the enterprise

The Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant has passed the full certification of the production management system for compliance with the requirements of the new international standard ISO 50001: 2011 "Energy Management Systems - Requirements and Guide to use."

The certification audit was conducted by German experts from the audit company TUF SUD. Specialists from Germany checked all the structural divisions of NLMK in lipetsk and came to the conclusion that the power management system of energy industries, which operates at the stationary plant, fully complies with international standards.

The technical re -equipment of the Novolipetskinsky Mining, which started back in 2007, made it possible to significantly reduce the energy consumption of steel production. So, if in 2007 the specific energy intensity of one ton of steel at NLMK was 6.53 Gcal/ton, then in 2011 this indicator decreased to 6.1 Gcal/ton. In the future, the owners of the plant expect to upgrade production in order to achieve specific energy intensity of production of 5.6 Gcal/ton in 2020.

The certificates of conformity of energy management of the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant received today are an indicator of the effectiveness of the group in the implementation of new energy -saving technologies and optimizing the production control system in production.
