Russian metallurgists have growth in production, Mechel added 15% to last year's indicators

Mechel OJSC continues to stably increase production volumes. In all basic areas of the company, there is an increase in indicators from 5 to 22%.

The General Director of Mechel, Evgeny Michel, commenting on the results of the enterprise in the nine months of 2012, said that the stable internal demand for the metal supply of the construction variety was successful.

Thanks to the implementation of the optimization program for warehouse residues, swordsman sales units managed to increase the amount of working capital, which gave a positive sales dynamics.

The metallurgical division of OJSC Mechel increased the smelting of steel by 13%, to 5 million 101 thousand tons, and the production of cast iron by 16%, up to 3 million 107 thousand tons. Sales of sheet steel are increased by 4%, varietal metal rolling by 6%, 2%metizes.

The largest growth was shown by the Ferroalloy Division of Mechel. So, thanks to the active sale of warehouse residues, sales of ferrochromes increased significantly - by 23% compared to last year's indicators.
