Russian trumpets opposed the introduction of import duties on a sheet

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation sent to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia a requirement to introduce an import duties on the above varietal in the amount of 5% of the customs value. At the moment, in accordance with the requirements of the WTO, where Russia has recovered not so long ago, the rate of import duties on the thick sheet is zero.

Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia prepared a package of documents substantiating the appropriateness of limiting export to the territory of the Russian Federation of sheet metal distribution in accordance with the decision of the working group of the subcommittee for the customs-tariff and non-tariff regulation, protective measures in the foreign trade of the Government Commission for Economic Development and Integration of July 23, 2012.

Attempts to establish an import duty on a thick -folded rental, Russian metallurgists have been undertaking annually since 2010. In such a simple way, they try to increase the price of their own sheet rental and get even more profit.

Representatives of the pipeline factories turned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia with a request to withdraw documents and requirements for improving import rates from the Ministry of Economic Development, justifying their request by increasing the price of sheet rental and will significantly weaken the competitiveness of domestic enterprises and lead to huge financial losses in the implementation of large -scale projects of main oil and gas pipelines as in Russia in Russia (Gazprom OJSC, AK Transneft, etc.), and the CIS countries.
