Magnitogorsk environmental management successfully passed exams

The Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant OJSC environmental management system has been an audit of the ISO 14001-2004 international standard.

The audit of the environmental management system was conducted by German experts of the Tüv Nord Cert certification center. The completed verification did not reveal any deviations from the norms provided for by the relevant ISO. Specialists from Tüv Nord Cert recorded in their report that the Ecological Control system of the enterprise "Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant" is successfully developing and fully consistent with ISO 14001-2004.

The audit test affected the following departments of the missile plant: gas workshop, KCC, coke workshop, LOOS, LPC-4, LPC-8, LPC-10, investment programs, mine, rof, varietal workshop, CEST, CPMSh, CPASH, CES, coatings, energy facilities.

Based on the results of the audit, German experts issued recommendations on further improvement of the magnetic environmental management system. The press center of OJSC MMK recalled that over the past year, pollutant emissions were reduced by 4.3% and amounted to 220.5 thousand tons.
