According to Interfax Ukraine agency, in January - October 2012, the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant reduced the production of finished metal rolling by 15.7% to a level of 3 million 370 thousand tons against almost four million tons in the same period in 2011.
As stated in the message, the smelting fell by 16.7% and amounted to 4 million 337 thousand tons, the production of cast iron was reduced by 12.5% to 3 million 785 thousand tons, the production of agglomerate amounted to 8 million 800 thousand tons, which is 12.4% less than in the corresponding period of 2011.
In total, over October, the month of the Ilyich’s Minepon -circuit made 269 thousand tons of finished metal rolling, 393 thousand tons of steel and smelted 372 thousand tons of cast iron.
The Ilyich Mariupol metallurgical plant is part of the Metinvest group, the main shareholders of which are Capital Management Systems (71.25%) and the Smart-Holding group of companies (23.75%).
