Due to the high price of scrap metal, some European steel mills held back and left their offer for hot rolled products (HRC) unchanged.
Statistics showed that factories in Italy and Northwest Europe did not change their proposal for HRC this week. At the same time, the price of Turkish HRC was growing rapidly in the domestic market, and buyers were looking for cheaper rolled metal around the world.
However, the price range from Turkish buyers was much lower than what European steel mills offer.
