The Australian Antidumping Commission has launched antidumping and antidumping investigations for steel pipe products originating in China, South Korea, Taiwan and Wit Nam.
The information was published by the Trade Facility Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam.
Certain welded electrowelded pipes and tubes made of carbon steel, whether or not they include alloys, contain round, rectangular and square hollow sections with metallic and non-metallic coating, are subject to investigation.
Non-metallic finishes, which include hot rolled and cold rolled, are also being investigated.
Investigations were initiated at the request of Orrcon Manufacturing Pty Ltd.
Anti-dumping and anti-donation investigations will consider imports in 2019, while the period for review and assessment of the damage in question will be from January 1, 2016 to the present.
The Trade Remedies Authority said Vietnamese companies associated with the lawsuit included Chính Steeli Steel Technology Company, Vina One Steel Manufacturing Corporation and Tau Nam Steel Manufacturing and Trading Company.
The investigation was launched on March 31, according to the ADC. It asked the firms concerned to submit the issue by May 7th.
Việt Nam Remedies encourages relevant manufacturers and exporters to cooperate with the Australian Commission during their review, including participating in on-site investigations to verify the contents of the answer sheet.
Companies can also look for attorneys and consultants who are experienced in trade defense in Australia.
They can also work with the Vietnamese Rights Protection Authority and associations to get timely support.
