Most Italian steel companies are still out of business

Большинство итальянских сталелитейных компаний все еще не работает
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte recently announced that the restrictive measures in Italy will be extended until May 3, from an initial end date of April 13, as the country is still trying to completely contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Conte ordered the people to stay at home and get permission for the necessary travel. He said in a televised address “The measures are designed to protect the most vulnerable. There is no more time. It is best for people to stay at home. We have seen a significant increase in infections and deaths. All of Italy will become a protected area. We must all give up something for the good of Italy. We must do this now. That is why I decided to take even stronger and tougher measures to curb progress and protect the health of all citizens. ”

The government said that only those with a valid job or family reason that cannot be delayed will be allowed to travel.

Passengers departing on flights will have to have a compelling reason to justify themselves, as does anyone who arrives by plane.

The prime minister agreed to allow a tiny fraction of the factories that had been closed since March 12 to reopen on a trial basis, but the Italian steel industry has once again found itself on the sidelines. Several sources described the situation as very confusing, as while most of the Italian steel companies are still closed and some are only partially closed, many companies are trying to figure out how to resume production in the coming days.
