Moody's Investors Service announced a decrease in the long -term rating of the Metinvest group from B2 level to level B3 with the forecast "Negative". The international rating agency reported that the basis for deteriorating the forecast was a recent revision of the rating of Ukraine as a whole.
As noted in the recently published press release from Moody's agency, the decision to lower the state bond ratings of Ukraine by one step is based on a decrease in institutional force and insufficient external liquidity, which increases risks for national currency, as well as wider financial and economic crisis, as well as relatively weak economic forecasts.
The rating of Ukraine was reduced in connection with the systematic non -fulfillment of obligations to the International Monetary Fund and the inability of the authorities to agree with Russia on lower gas prices.
