Ukrainian pipe producers reduced output of ferrous metal products

The main pipe enterprises of Ukraine in the first two months of this year reduced the production of pipes from ferrous metals, according to operational data, by 10.3% compared to the same period last year - to 123.1 thousand tons.

As reported in the Ukrtruboprom association, in particular, the enterprises of the association during this period reduced the production of pipes by 15.3% - to 72.9 thousand tons.

At the same time, according to preliminary data, pipe production at Interpipe-NTZ in January-February-2021 increased by 4.3% - up to 26.9 thousand tons (in February - 16.1 thousand tons), while Interpipe NMPP fell by 42.7% - to 6.7 thousand tons (6.1 thousand tons). Interpipe Niko Tube cut production by 20.1% - to 36.1 thousand tons (21.6 thousand tons). Dnepropetrovsk Pipe Plant (DTZ) was idle during this period, while in January-February 2020 it produced 0.1 thousand tons. Centravis kept production at the January-February 2020 level, producing 3 thousand tons of stainless pipes (1.5 thousand tons).

The Trubostal plant reduced its output by 33.3% - to 0.2 thousand tons of pipes (0.1 thousand tons). Ilyich Iron and Steel Works (MMK), which is not part of the Ukrtruboprom association, reduced pipe production by 14.2% to 24.7 thousand tons (in February - 10.8 thousand tons), Kominmet increased by 13, 8% - up to 25.5 thousand tons (12.7 thousand tons). As reported, in 2020 Ukraine reduced pipe production by 16.3% compared to the previous year - to 854 thousand tons. In particular, the enterprises of the Ukrtruboprom association over the past year reduced the production of pipes by 24.8% - to 538 thousand tons.

At the same time, pipe production at Interpipe-NTZ fell by 33.7% - to 145 thousand tons, at Interpipe NMPP - by 23.9%, to 78.6 thousand tons. Interpipe Niko Tube cut production by 16.5% to 293.7 thousand tons. DTZ produced 0.3 thousand tons of pipes, while in 2019 it produced 17.6 thousand tons of these products. Centravis cut production by 9.3% to 19.05 thousand tons of stainless pipes. The Trubostal plant reduced its output by 42.9% - to 1.6 thousand tons of pipes. MMK them. Ilyich reduced the production of pipes by 4.2% - to 151.6 thousand tons, "Kominmet" increased by 12.2% - to 164.6 thousand tons.
