As global steel and raw material prices continued to rise and domestic demand in Brazil is still strong, it was announced that the price of domestic flat products in Brazil would rise by 16-18% in May.

Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) announced a 16-18% price increase on April 29, of which HRC will rise 16% and cold rolled coil (CRC) 18%. and the price of galvalume will be increased by 16.5%.

In addition, Usiminas raised the price by 10% in May, ArcelorMittal is planning a 17% price increase, and Gerdau will increase steel sheet and HRC prices by 12% and 15%. However, these price adjustments have not been confirmed by manufacturers.
