Steel production in China increased in January-April

China's hot rolled coil (HRC) production in April was about 16.16 million tonnes, up 8.2% from the previous month.

In the first four months of this year, China's HRC production totaled approximately 61.23 million tonnes, an increase of 18.1% over the same period last year.

During the same period, China's cold rolled coil (CRC) production was about 14.4 million tonnes, up 27.8% from last year.
