The capacity utilization rate was 82.7%, down 0.2% over the week, but up 25.9% year on year.
As of the week ended June 26, crude steel production in the United States this year was about 45.05 million short tons, an increase of 15.2% over the same period last year. The capacity utilization rate was 78.8%, which is 11% more than a year earlier.
