According to the World Steel Association (worldsteel), in September, global production of crude steel increased by 3.7% year on year and amounted to about 152 million tons.
Among them, Asian crude steel production was about 113 million tons, up 10.6% year on year. At the same time, production from the EU 27 was 10.7 million tons, down 16.7% from the same month last year.
In addition, crude steel production in North America was 9.1 million tonnes in September, down 7.6% from the same month last year. Meanwhile, crude steel production in Africa stood at 1.4 million tonnes, up slightly by 1% year on year.
