Steel pipe consumption in Russia is forecast to increase by 10%-15% to 10.3-10.6 million tons by the end of this year due to rising demand from crude oil and natural gas.
Russian factories produced about 9 million tons of steel pipes from January to September, up 15.2% year-over-year, as steel pipe consumption recovered.
The production of industrial welded pipes in Russia in the first half of 2022 amounted to 1.85 million tons, and the annual production volume was about 3.7 million tons. Annual domestic demand for industrial welded pipes was expected to decline by 5% year on year to 3.8 million tons.
