The EU unveiled the volume of quotas for the new guarantee system

The European Commission announced the details of its new protective system and published the volume of quotas for products.

, million tons per year (47 percent reduction compared to quotas for steel of 2024),

doubles of the level of extracts of up to 50 percent compared to 25 percent under the protection, and

strengthening of traceability of the markets of steel by introduction of the requirements “Melt and Pour” to prevent bypass.

The volumes of quota of various products can be seen in the table below.
