According to data received from the Indian Ports Association (IPA) on Wednesday, October 8, the import of coking coal to India through all major ports of the country in the period from April to September 2025-26 fiscal year was tentatively estimated at 30.489 million tons, an increase of 3.23 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to SteelOrbis calculations, the shipment of coking coal to the country in September amounted to 4.69 million tons, compared with 4.491 million tons in August.
According to the IPA, the total volume of iron ore, including pellets processed by all major ports between April and September of the 2025-26 fiscal year, was tentatively estimated at 23.479 million tons, down 7.77 percent year-on-year.
