Brazil's wire rod exports reached 27,300 tons in September, up from 19,200 tons in August, according to the foreign trade authority SECEX.
September destinations were South America (20,000 tons at US$586 per ton), USA (7,000 tonnes at US$587 per ton) and Canada (300 tons at US$586 per ton). $828/t), FOB
Exporters were ArcelorMittal (27,200 t at $586/t) and Gerdau (100 t at $657/t).
Meanwhile, Brazil imported 5,500 t of wire rod in September against 12,000 tons in August.
The origins of imports were China (2,800 tons at $511 million), Egypt (1,500 tons at $605 million), Russia (600 tons at $468/t) and Europe (600 tons at $960/t), also on terms FOB.
