Tata Steel limited achieved Indian steel production of 5.67 million tonnes in the second quarter (July-September) of fiscal 2025-26, up seven percent year-on-year, the company said in a regulatory filing on Thursday, October 9.
The company said normalization contributed to the increase in production operations after completing a blast furnace conversion at its Jamshedpur steel plant in Jharkhand state.
The company said it continues to strengthen its product portfolio with new capacity and customer approvals. The recently commissioned continuous galvanizing line at Kalinganagar in Odisha has received approval from the original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
