In September of this year, pig iron production in Ukraine amounted to 683.2 thousand tons, which is 8.6% less on a monthly basis and higher by 9.5% on an annual basis, according to the Ukrainian steel association "Ukrmetallurgprom".
This month, steel production in the country fell by 5.9% month-on-month and up 0.2% year-on-year to 611,000 tons, while rolled steel production totaled 587.5 thousand tons, down 7.2 percent month-on-month and up 16.6 percent compared to the same month last year.
Meanwhile, over the nine months of this year, Ukraine produced 5.79 million tons of pig iron, an increase of 8.1 percent year on year, and crude steel production during this period amounted to 5.52 million tons, an increase of 3.9 percent, and rolled steel production amounted to 4.84 million tons, an increase of 0.4 percent year on year calculus
