China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that from September 22 to 28 this year, the average price of finished steel in China fluctuated within a limited range.
During this period, the average prices of channel steel and hot-rolled steel strip decreased by 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, the average prices of both high-speed wire rod and and welded steel pipes remained stable, and the average price for fittings increased 0.2 percent, week over week.
During the same period, average prices for coking coal and smokeless lump coal rose 2.1 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, while the average price for thermal coal remained unchanged week over weeks.
