Thailand has closed a loophole and expanded its responsibilities to prevent Chinese steel pipe makers, especially Youfa Group, from avoiding current anti-dumping tariffs. The Anti-Dumping and Subsidiary Committee of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand ruled that the import of iron and steel pipes produced by the Chinese company Youfa Group and exported through Tianjin Tianyingtai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. was intended to evade existing anti-dumping duties on pipes. Youfa Group products.
As a result, such imports will now be subject to an anti-dumping duty of 19.19%, with retroactive effect from December 20, 2024. This measure will remain in force until Thailand lifts its anti-dumping duties on Chinese and South Korean pipe products.
