Ukraine's Sukha Balka is preparing two new iron ore blocks for production

The Sukha Balka Ukrainian Iron ore Mining and Processing Complex, part of the DCH Group, announced the completion of preparations for the extraction of two new ore blocks at the Yubileynaya mine totaling more than 158,000 tons of reserves with an average iron content above 59 percent.

According to the statement, all work was carried out according to schedule and in full compliance with technological and safety standards.

Block 34-40 at the Head Field

In early September, Sukha Balka commissioned block 34-40 at a depth of 1,420 meters from the Parent Field. The ore reserves of the block amount to 124,700 tons with an average iron content of 60.15 percent. This amount will be enough for about three months of stable operation of the mine.

Nikolay Puntus, Chief Engineer of the Yubileynaya mine, stressed that the preparatory work was carried out efficiently and on schedule, ensuring smooth integration into the mine's production plan.

Block 65-69 at the Pit deposit

The second project, block 65-69 from the Pit deposit, is located at a depth of 1,340 meters. The ore reserves of the block amount to 34 thousand tons with an average iron content of 59.29%.
