The World Steel Association (worldsteel) has announced the election of new officers and members of its executive board of directors for the period 2025-2026.
Ugur Dalbeler, CEO of Turkish steel producer Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.
Ş., will take up the position Chairman, replacing Tachath Viswanath Narendran, Chief Executive Officer of Tata Steel. and a managing director, who is elected as one of the new vice-chairmen of the board. The second vice-chairman will be Abdulkader Almubarak, CEO of Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed). The new officers and member of the executive board of directors will serve for one year.
Dahlbehler was co-vice chairman for the 2024-2025 period along with Leon Topalian, CEO of Nucor of America, SteelOrbis previously reported.
