The company said it expects high demand from salt producing regions such as Sambhar, Nava and Kuchaman in Rajasthan.
The new trailers provide increased durability, lower maintenance costs, and a longer service life compared to conventional mild steel trailers, which typically corrode for three to four years.
According to JSL, stainless steel trailers are 25 percent lighter, with estimated cost savings of INR 2.5–3.0 million (USD 28,000-34,000) over a 10-year period, and an expected service life of 15 to 20 years.
According to industry estimates, the demand for dump truck trailers in India is about 70,000 units per year, according to JSL.
