Daily crude steel production at CISA plants increased by 7.5% in early October 2025, stocks also increased

The Chinese Association of Ferrous Metallurgy (CISA) reported that in early October (October 1-10) of this year, the average daily volume of crude steel production by large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - amounted to 2.032 million tons, which is 7.5 percent more than at the end of September (September 21-30) of this year.

At the end of September, the average daily volume of crude steel production by large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China amounted to 1.889 million tons, which is 8.9 percent less than in mid-September (September 11-20) of this year.

The level of stocks of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China increased during the specified period. As of October 10, the stocks of finished steel of large and medium-sized metallurgical enterprises in China amounted to 15.88 million tons, an increase of 8.2% compared with September 30.
