China's producer price index (PPI) for its ferrous smelting and rolling sector fell 0.6 percent year on year in September this year, 4.6 percentage points slower than the rate of decline recorded in August, while increasing 0.2 percent month on month, according to data released by the National Bureau Statistics of China (NBS). Between January and September this year, China's ferrous smelting and rolling sector PPI fell 8.6 percent year-on-year.
China's overall PPI fell 2.3 percent year-on-year in September, while it remained stable compared to August. Also in September, the procurement prices of Chinese industrial manufacturers fell by 3.1 percent year on year and increased by 0.1 percent compared with August this year.
Between January and September this year, China's overall PPI fell by 2.8 percent year on year, while the procurement prices of Chinese industrial manufacturers manufacturers decreased by 2.3 percent year on year.
