Brazil exported 8,421 tons of niobium ferroalloys in September, up from 7,693 tons in August, according to SECEX. The decline primarily reflects lower shipments to Asia.
August exports were destined for Asia (5,971 tonnes at US$27,027/tonne), Europe (1,832 tonnes at US$28,519/tonne), USA (441 tonnes at US$30,387/tonne), Canada (130 tons at US$25,586/tonne), and South America (21 tonnes at US$32,442/tonne), FOB. Exports were from CBMM, the world's largest mining company (7,054 tonnes at US$27,650/tonne) and CMOC (1,081 tonnes at US$27,121/tonne).
