The company shipped 354,300 tons of iron ore from its Iron Ridge project in Western Australia, up 2.4 percent from the same period last year. The Shine mine shipped 414,600 tons of iron ore, and Beebyn-W11, which began production in June and shipped in August, recorded its first shipment of 116,500 tons. 466.8 thousand tons of pieces and 418,700 tons of fines in 15 shipments.
The company maintained its forecast at 4.0-4.4 million tons of total iron ore sales for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
A key strategic milestone this quarter was Fenix's acquisition of exclusive 30-year rights to mine 290 million tonnes of the Weld Range iron ore project as part of a transformational partnership with China's Baowu Steel Group, as previously reported by SteelOrbis. The deal is expected to extend the life of the Fenix mine and increase capacity to 6 million tons per year, while the cooperation aims to export up to 10 million tons per year.
