The China Iron and Steel Industry Association (CISA) held a symposium on improving the quality of the steel industry in Beijing on October 15. The symposium participants discussed in detail the main contents of the "Research Report on the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Steel Industry (Discussion Draft)" and put forward specific proposals.
Xia Nong, Vice President of CISA, emphasized that during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026:30), domestic demand for steel as a whole will show an oscillating tendency decline, while steel mills should note that current production adjustments represent a transitional and critical period moving toward carbon control.
The CISA Vice President said there are opportunities and opportunities for market expansion in the steel industry. Driven by demand for high-quality designs, green steel buildings offer unrivaled benefits and deserve greater promotion, he said.
