In Kuzbass, despite a decrease in production, coal exports increased by 5%, but the domestic market faced a contraction due to low demand. Energy companies have increased their coal consumption due to the hydrological situation. 16 coal companies in the region have received state support, another 12 are in the process.
Earlier, the Governor of Kuzbass noted that in 2024 the budget received a shortfall of about 58 billion rubles due to problems in the industry, and in 2025 a shortfall of about 37 billion rubles is expected. The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation has developed an anti-crisis support program, including meetings and assistance in solving problems. The authorities are helping companies prepare documents for the subcommittee on financial support measures within the government commission. This is stated in the report on the regional economy on the website of the Central Bank of Russia.
