In January-September this year, value-added industrial output in the ferrous smelting and rolling sector in China rose 5.7 percent year on year, China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced on October 20.
In September alone, value-added industrial output in the smelting and rolling sector China's ferrous metals rose 2.2 percent year on year.
In the first nine months, China's total value-added industrial output increased 6.2 percent year on year. In September alone, total value-added industrial production increased by 0.64 percent month-on-month, while increasing by 6.5 percent year-on-year.
In January-September, value-added industrial production in the mining and manufacturing sectors increased by 5.8 percent and by 6.8 percent year on year respectively. In September alone, value-added industrial output in the mining and manufacturing sectors increased by 6.4 percent and 7.3 percent year-on-year, respectively.
