In the first nine months, imports of bars made of iron or non-alloy steel from Turkey to Georgia amounted to 117,349 tons, compared with 2,349 tons for the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, the value of these imports amounted to 68.63 million dollars, an increase from 1.63 million dollars in the period from January to September 2024.

In the period from January to September of this year, Georgia's total foreign trade turnover with Turkey, which is the country's largest trading partner, amounted to $2.26 billion, including imports of $2.02 billion (an increase of 1.7%) and exports of $237.82 million (a decrease of 31.5%) year-on-year, according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Office of Georgia.
