Manganese ore shipments through Port Hedland decreased by 42 percent in September 2025 compared to August

In September of this year, shipments of manganese ore from Australia's Port Hedland totaled 105,000 metric tons, down 42.0% month-on-month and 40.8% year-on-year, according to monthly data released by the Port Hedland Port Authority.

In this month, China was the only destination for exports.

Port Hedland handles production at mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
