Australian iron ore miner Fortescue Metals Group announced operating results for the first quarter ended September 30 of the 2025-26 financial year.
The company's iron ore shipments fell 10.0 percent quarter-on-quarter in the quarter and rose four percent on an annualized basis to 49.7 million tons, while 60.1 million tons of iron were mined. ore, falling seven percent quarter-on-quarter and up five percent year-on-year.
Fortescue's FY 2025-2026 iron ore shipment forecast is 195-205 million tonnes, including 10-12 million tonnes from Iron Bridge.
