The cities of Tangshan, Langfang and Handan in China's Hebei province have decided to begin a Level 2 emergency response from 12:00 on October 27 to reduce pollution. The timing of the end of the emergency response will be announced later.
Atmospheric diffusion conditions in Hebei provinces are expected to worsen between October 27 and October 31. Mandatory emission reduction measures will be implemented in various places, requiring industries and businesses to reduce emissions, stop work on some construction sites and limit the movement of heavy trucks.
In particular, the steel industry, road transport of manufacturing materials and steel products must use heavy trucks with pure electric motors or fuel cells or heavy duty trucks that meet China VI
emission standards.
