Chinese steelmaker Shandong Iron and Steel Company Ltd released its financial report for the first nine months of this year, saying it recorded operating revenue of 54.828 billion yuan ($7.7 billion) in the period, down 14.77% from the previous year, and net profit was 140 million yuan ($19.7 million), moving from a net loss of 1.45 billion yuan recorded in the same period last year.
In January-September, Shandong Steel produced 2.1503 million tons of long steel, 2.6867 million tons of steel sheet and 1.1325 million tons of steel ingot, which is 5.14%, 0.99% and 17.91% more year-on-year, and also produced 3.4327 million tons of rolled steel and 1.7318 million tons of rebar, which is 7.45% and 8.1% less year-on-year accordingly.
