According to the American Institute of Iron and Steel (AISI), for the week ending October 25, 2025, domestic production of raw steel in the United States amounted to 1,747 million net tons, and the capacity utilization rate was 76.3 percent.
Production for the week ending October 25, 2025 increased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week ending October 18, 2025, when production was 1.744 million net tons and the capacity utilization rate was 76.1 percent.
For the week ended October 25, 2024, production amounted to 1.589 million net tons, and capacity utilization was 71.6 percent. Production this week represents an increase of 9.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Adjusted production from the beginning of the year to October 25, 2025 amounted to 73.711 million net tons with a capacity utilization rate of 77.0 percent. This is 2.8 percent more than 71.705 million net tons in the same period last year, when the capacity utilization rate was 75.8 percent.
