The project will also include its own 400 MW power plant, ensuring the energy self-sufficiency of the facility. Rashmi Group has already completed the acquisition of 938 acres of land needed for the project.
Production diversification and capacity expansion
The upcoming plant will produce a range of high-grade steel products, including TMT bars, wire rod, billet and structural steel, positioning West Bengal as a key developing hub for high-quality steel production in eastern India.
Rashmi Group currently operates an integrated metallurgical complex with a capacity of 8.3 million tons per year with a diverse business portfolio covering pellets, cast iron, sponge iron, billet, TMT bars, wire rod, ductile iron pipes, aluminum and cement, with a capacity of 1.9 million tons.
