The full supply contract, which will enter into force in January 2026, is designed for peak loads exceeding 100 MW. The contract also includes integrated forecasting and detailed reporting tools designed to improve the reliability of planning and actively manage price and volume risks.
Improving efficiency and sustainability
Uwe Reinecke, CEO of Feralpi Stahl, stated that the contract supports the steel mill's operational efficiency, sustainable development goals, and long-term supply reliability, crucial factors for an EDP site dependent on large volumes of stable electricity at competitive prices.
