According to the American Institute of Iron and Steel (AISI), for the week ending November 29, 2025, domestic production of raw steel in the United States amounted to 1.736 million net tons, and the capacity utilization rate was 75.8 percent.
Production for the week ending November 29, 2025 decreased by 1.4 percent compared to the previous week ending November 22, 2025, when production was 1.761 million net tons and capacity utilization was 76.9 percent.
For the week ending November 29, 2024, production amounted to 1,612 million net tons, and capacity utilization was 72.6 percent. Production this week represents an increase of 7.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Adjusted production from the beginning of the year to November 29, 2025 amounted to 82.394 million net tons with a capacity utilization rate of 76.9 percent. This is 3.3 percent more than 79.745 million net tons in the same period last year, when the capacity utilization rate was 75.5 percent.
