German steel company ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt GmbH has advanced its cold rolling operations with the completed modernization of its reversible cold mill, according to British manufacturer Primetals Technologies.
Primetals said the modernization included a wide range of mechanical improvements aimed at improving mill efficiency and providing higher product quality. As part of the project, Primetals has installed a new belt press, a modern smoke extraction system and a complete media system. Together, these improvements aim for more stable rolling conditions and cleaner production flows.
The upgrade is also expected to enhance the manufacturer's ability to produce high-quality silicon steel.
