CPCA: Retail sales of passenger cars in China decreased by 7.0% in November 2025

According to an analysis of the automotive market conducted by the Chinese Passenger Car Association (CPCA), retail sales of passenger cars in China totaled 2.263 million units in November this year, down 7.0 percent from the previous year and up 1.0 percent month-on-month.

This year, through November 30, retail sales of passenger cars in China totaled 21.519 million units, an increase of 6.0 percent year-on-year.

In the given month, retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles were estimated at 1.354 million units, up 7.0 percent year-on-year, and up 6.0 percent month-on-month. The NEV market penetration rate in November was 59.8 percent.

This year, until November 30, retail sales of passenger cars powered by new energy sources in China amounted to 11.504 million units, which is 20.0 percent more than last year.
