December 4, 2025. The consulting company Neo conducted a study of the Russian market for metal structures made of ferrous metals (FM), as well as rolled steel and wire rod. The products are widely used in the construction industry: wire rod - for the manufacture of fittings and electrical products, metal structures made of metal - for strengthening the foundation, creating building frames, and much more. etc.
In the period 2020–2025. the volume of production of metal structures from FM increased by 55%, but the average annual rate decreased significantly: if in 2020–2022. the increase was 37.5%, then in 2023–2025. - only 7.4%. Over the course of 5 years, the rolled steel and wire rod market showed volatility in the range of 16.4–18.2 million tons without a clear upward trend.
