In October this year, Turkey's hot rolled coil (HRC) imports totaled 314,189 metric tons, down 14.8 percent from September and up 13.9 percent year-on-year, according to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports was $168.96 million, down 14.3 percent from the previous month and up 2.1 percent year-on-year.
In the first ten months of this year, Turkey's HRP imports totaled 3.24 million tons, up 10.4 percent, while the value of these imports fell 6.2 percent to $1.77 billion. as on a year-on-year basis.

During the period, Turkey's largest source of HRC imports was China, which supplied 1.19 million tons, down 20.6 percent from last year. They are followed by Russia with 809,323 tons, up 164.1 percent, and Egypt with 378,347 tons, down 19.4 percent year-on-year.
