According to a press release, one of the largest steel producers in America, Nucor Corp., raised its dividend by 1.8% to 56 cents per share from 55 cents.
Payments are scheduled for February 11. The registry is scheduled to close on December 31. The report notes that the company has paid dividends for 211 consecutive quarters.
The dividend yield of securities based on current quotes will be about 1.4% per annum.
Nucor's capitalization has jumped almost 40% since the beginning of this year (to $37 billion), while the S&P 500 index has gained 16%.
