According to statistics published by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE), industrial production in France fell 0.1 percent month-on-month in October this year, after rising 0.9 percent in September this year. In the August-October quarter, French industrial output increased 1.1 percent year-on-year and 0.2 percent quarter-on-quarter.
French production of base metals and fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, rose one month in October from the previous month, after rising 0.6 percent in the previous month.
On the other hand, in October, French auto production, trailer and semi-trailer production fell four percent month-on-month after rising 2.1 percent month-on-month in the previous month, while domestic construction industry output fell 0.6 percent month-on-month in the month after declining 1.3 percent in September compared to August. In August-October, the output of the domestic construction industry increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous quarter
