According to the Economic Committee of the European Steel Association (EUROFER) Steel Market Outlook 2025-2026/Q4 2025 report, EU steel pipe production fell 0.2 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2025, following a 2.9 percent decline in the previous quarter.
The report states that demand for steel pipes in the construction sector is increasing. will decline and is expected to provide only a moderate level of support for growth, while demand from the automotive and engineering sectors will remain relatively strong. EUROFER expects pressure on demand to continue in the longer term as the EU accelerates its transition to LNG supplies for energy needs, phasing out gas transport by pipelines.
EUROFER said production in the EU steel pipe sector is expected to grow by 0.5 percent in 2025, which was revised upward from the previous estimate of 0.1 percent. As for 2026, pipe production is forecast to grow by 0.7 percent year on year
